EMPOWERED TO FIGHT HEREDITARY BREAST AND OVARIAN CANCER ON SUNDAY 18TH DECEMBER 2016 AT PARADIGM MALL

During this holiday season, EMPOWERED, The Cancer Advocacy Society of Malaysia will launch its Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Awareness Campaign 2016, which will be a fun-filled and personalized learning tour for you and your family.
Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC) is an inherited genetic condition which can be passed down from each generation to the next in the affected families. Inherited faulty genes are responsible for HBOC and can cause other types of cancer affecting both men and women. HBOC typically occurs at a younger age and can affect multiple family members. High risk families can be counselled, the genes at fault in HBOC can be tested for and preventative medical solutions are available.
In this campaign, we will bring a large array of fun-filled learning experiences and medical answers to the Malaysian public. You will enjoy celebrity appearances, learning booths, family games and great prizes, makeover sessions with our face/hair specialists, huge lucky draw prizes and much more. Our volunteer team of genetic counselors and doctors will be part of this entire personalized educational experience for you and your family!
